The victim of the Vince Weiguang Li beheading was laid to rest today. I still won’t say his name in respect to him and his family because I don’t want his name to be associated to the sick fuck that is Vince Weiguang Li. His friends and family came out to say goodbye to him as well as hundreds of strangers who came to pay their respects.

Now, there also had been threats that a fanatical church group would protest at the funeral saying that what happened was God’s response to abortion, homosexuality and adultery. WTF does that have to do with anything? In what way was the story related to these causes? And then there’s PETA trying to get an ad comparing the beheading to what happens to animals. Again, WTF. Have some respect and stop your mugging for publicity for once. There’s a time and place to do things and this isn’t one of those times.

I’m so sick and tired of special interest groups just jumping on the bandwagon. And lest you think it’s just psycho fringe groups, even politicians are at it! What about Republican nominee John McCain comparing Barack Obama’s celebrity status to that of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan? The message was pretty much of celebrity status with no substance. But once again, isn’t the campaign ad gravy training on these wannabe starlets? Look at who is the user now.

By now, the whole freaking world has heard about the grizzly Greyhound bus attack that happened in Manitoba by one Vince Weiguang Li. News sure travels fast these days. So fast that the victim’s family heard about it first from a reporter. I guess trying to get the scoop trumps moral decency.

I’m not going to mention the victim’s name as I don’t want to add my imprint to the blogosphere that sullies his name and forever entwines his identity to Vince Weiguang Li. But I have no qualms about saying Vince Weiguang Li is a sick fuck.

And as if we weren’t all sickened by this event, someone had to add more gruesome tidbits to the story on YouTube. A recorded radio transmission at the crime scene “not meant for public consumption” by the RCMP was uploaded describing what the “Badger” (code name for Vince Weiguang Li sick fuck) did with the body. Seriously, what’s wrong with these leakers or trashy reporters? What’s up with the RCMP that they could not contain the situation? They fail to notify the victim’s family before the media frenzy and now the leak gets out? Absolutely no respect for the family whatsoever. Let the man have his dignity in death.

For some, I guess making a name for themselves off the misery of others is worth being an asshole.
